– Shiny Rear End?

People often ask us, “What’s the most difficult part you’ve had to chrome?”  Because Classic Components can chrome plate anything from plastic and fiberglass parts to a pair of Cadillac bumpers for example, we do receive some crazy requests.  Here are a few pictures of two such requests – a Hummer H2 rear differential and a huge Sushi restaurant fish.  In order to process the Hummer rear end, special anode rods were hand welded onto the part to make it conductive.  After nickel and copper plating, the entire part was hand polished and then dipped in chrome.  This took about a month for us to complete but the end result is well worth it.  This V.I.P. ride will now be complete with this extra bit of bling.

The chrome fish came to us in several pieces and was originally raw steel.  The owners of Sushi Roku in Santa Monica wanted a one-of-a-kind piece of art to hang from their ceiling and accent their beautiful establishment.

If you need high end metal work or custom coating for your special project, give us a try.  Chances are we can accommodate your request!
